About La Nueva Era
Cooperativa Agrícola Integral La Nueva Era, R.L. is located in the village of Jumaytepeque, near Nueva Santa Rosa city. Jumaytepeque lies in the foothills of a volcano where they benefit from higher levels of potassium in the soil, bringing extra body to the coffee.
Nueva Era have two annexes, one for washed coffees and the other for naturals. The coffee delivered to the Nueva Era Natural annex is grown solely by Finca Tololoche. The farm is owned and run by a three generation family: Jamie Sanchez, his father Don Fernando and son Fernando. The farm is located on Jumaytepeque, a mountain overlooking the cooperative, and is 50 hectares in size.
The tasting notes on this are absolutely spot on. The smell is delightfully enticing before the beans are ground - the blueberry notes in particular. We enjoyed this as espresso and in a flat white, both of which were delicious. Highly recommned for someone who enjoys sweet and fruity flavours.
